When I painted this, I think I just needed a quiet moment. One where I didn’t have to keep up with the noise of the world or be “on” for anyone. I wanted to remember what it felt like to do something just because it fills me up inside.

This deer came to life in that stillness, standing in a little forest clearing, lost in his own song. He’s not performing for anyone. He’s just… playing. The leaves listen, and for a moment, everything feels calm and enough.

I think sometimes we all need that reminder, that it’s okay to make something just for ourselves that no one else is going to see. It’s okay to pause, to breathe, and to find your own rhythm again.
